Close on the heels of asking more than 300 Kendriya Vidyalaya principals across India to relinquish their post, comes another bombshell from the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). This time it will be the Provisionally Registered Teachers (PRT) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) in waiting.
According to sources from KVS headquarters in Delhi, the incumbent KVS commissioner, Ranglal Jamuda, had recently issued an order declaring the recruitment process that took place a couple of months back for the vacant PRT and TGT posts as null and void.
According to the order, the recruitment process violated the recruitment and educational code of the KVS. The order virtually leave the aspiring candidates, who were waiting for their posting orders, in cold.
Interestingly, the commissioner more than a month back while speaking to The Education Times said that within one month the 3,400 vacant posts for teachers will be filled. Despite repeated attempts the KVS commissioner could not be contacted for his comments and to know the exact nature of KVS code violation for which the postings of the new recruits were cancelled.
A senior official with KVS said that the present commissioner is trying to streamline the deviation that took place in the recruitment and appointment process. The official stated that fresh recruitment will be initiated within a month and for immediate need the Sangathan will recruit contractual teachers in order to complete the syllabus for the current academic session.
