Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released an official notice regarding a Special Stray Vacancy Round for dental seats under National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 counselling. This round is being conducted after the extension of the last date for admission to medical courses for the year 2025.
According to the notice issued by KEA, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the admission timeline, following which the Special Stray Vacancy Round will be held to fill vacant dental seats in Karnataka. This round will include seats under General Merit (GM), Other Than Hindu (OTH), and Open (OPN) categories. Only those seats that were identified as vacant or not reported earlier will be considered.
The authority has clearly stated that no fresh seat matrix will be released for this round. The allotment will be done only for the available seats under the stray vacancy process.
Candidates who have not been allotted any dental seat in any of the previous counselling rounds and who are interested in GM, OTH, or OPN category dental seats are eligible to take part. Such candidates must appear in person at the KEA office.
The reporting date is 31 December 2025, and candidates must report between 10:00 am and 11:30 am at KEA, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru.
At the time of reporting, candidates must carry all original documents along with verification slip issued by KEA. They must also submit the required fees in the form of a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Executive Director, KEA, payable at Bengaluru.
Only candidates who complete document verification and fee submission will be allowed to enter the counselling options window, which will be open from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on the same day.
The seat allotment result will be published on the same day after the options entry process is completed. Candidates who receive an allotment must report to the allotted college on or before 1 January 2026 by 4:00 pm.
