IIT Delhi launches 8th batch of Advanced AI, ML, and DL online programme: Check who is eligible, application details
The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at IIT Delhi has announced the launch of the 8th batch of its Advanced Certificate Programme in AI, ML, and DL. Earlier known as the Certificate Programme in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, the course is designed for graduates and postgraduates who want to gain expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning technologies, even without prior experience.
Scheduled to begin on 26th July 2026 and concluding on 22nd January 2027, the programme is offered in the eVIDYA online format, enabling learners across India and abroad to participate from the comfort of their homes. Admissions are currently open, with a programme fee of ₹1,95,000 plus 18% GST. The course is structured to provide 80 hours of live online learning, complemented by assignments, quizzes, capstone projects, and an optional one-day immersive campus visit at IIT Delhi.
The programme covers foundational to advanced concepts in AI, ML, and DL. It begins with Python programming, data analytics, and applied mathematics to build a strong base. Learners then progress to core machine learning and deep learning modules, including neural networks, deep learning architectures, and AI applications.
Special emphasis is placed on real-world applications, with participants using tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Visual ML Lab, and Visual DL Lab. The curriculum also includes exclusive sessions on RAG and Agentic AI, giving learners exposure to cutting-edge AI developments.
One of the programme’s highlights is the Bring Your Own Project (BYOP) capstone, where learners implement a practical AI/ML solution, applying concepts learned throughout the course. Assignments, quizzes, and case studies further reinforce hands-on understanding, while live online sessions allow interactive engagement with IIT faculty and industry experts.
The programme is open to graduates and postgraduates in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, electronics, physics, AI, data science, or related disciplines. Assessment includes a 50% weightage for an end-of-programme MCQ exam, 20% for assignments and quizzes, 20% for the capstone project, and 10% for attendance.
