ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 registrations begin: NTA announces July 4 exam for Master’s, PhD agriculture admissions
ICAR AIEAA PG exam date announced: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission (ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2026 and All India Competitive Examination for Junior Research Fellowship/Senior Research Fellowship (AICE-JRF/SRF).
It seeks admission to postgraduate and doctoral programmes in agricultural and allied sciences across India. The entrance examinations, conducted on behalf of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, are among the country’s most important agriculture education tests. Through these exams, candidates can secure admission to Master’s and PhD programmes for the academic session 2026-27.
Students can submit their applications online through the NTA ICAR official portal. According to the official notification, the online application process started on May 8, 2026. Candidates can complete and submit their forms till June 7, 2026, up to 5 PM.
The last date for successful fee payment through debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI is June 7, 2026, till 11:50 PM.
NTA has also provided a correction window for applicants who may need to edit details in their forms. The correction facility will remain open from June 9 to June 10, 2026.
The ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 examinations will be conducted on July 4, 2026, in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The examination will be held in nearly 122 cities across the country, giving students from multiple regions an opportunity to appear for the national-level agriculture entrance test. Officials said the examination will be conducted in English only.
The entrance examination will consist of objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates will get two hours, or 120 minutes, to complete the paper. The test will cover subjects related to agricultural and allied sciences for postgraduate and doctoral admissions.

- Go to the official website, NTA ICAR portal, exams.nta.nic.in
- Click on the link for “ICAR AIEEA (PG) 2026 Registration” available on the homepage.
- Complete the registration process by entering basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID.
- Login into the portal with the Application ID and Password.
- Fill the Application Form properly.
- Scan and upload the necessary documents as mentioned in the application form.
- The payment of application fees can be made by Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, and UPI.
- After filling the application form, go through all the details provided in it.
- Submit the Application Form and obtain the confirmation page after downloading it.
- Take a printout of the Application Form and Fee Receipt.
