IBPS Clerk 2018: Step-by-step guide on how to apply

Go to the IBPS website

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the online application link for common recruitment process for recruitment of clerks in participating organisations (CRP Clerks-VIII) on its official website - ibps.in. In case you want to register for the IBPS Clerk recruitment process, you have to register on the website first. To register, click on the link available on the homepage.

Important Events and Dates

Once you click on the homepage, a new page will open with important events and dates for the IBPS Clerk common recruitment process. Check the important dates and remember to complete the process before the closing dates. Now, in case you have already registered on the website, enter your registration number, password, security code and click on submit. In case not registered, click on the New Registration link available on the top right corner of the page.

Points to remember

Once you click on the New Registration link, a form will open. Read all the important points mentioned on the page and click on Continue.

Enter basic information

Once you click on Continue, an application form with six tabs will open. On the first tab, you need to enter your basic info such as name, mobile number, email ID, etc. After entering all details, click on save and next

Upload photo and signature

Next, you need to upload your photo and signature. The photo should be in 4.5cm * 3.5cm dimension. In case you need more clarification, click on guidelines available on the page. After uploading the document, click on Next

Enter personal details

On the next page, you need to enter all other details such as gender, date of birth, father's name, mother's name address etc. After filling all the details, click on "Validate your details". Once validation is done, click on save and next

Enter educational and qualification details

On the next tab, enter your educational qualification, language know and other details. Click on Validate details and after that click on Save & Next

Make bank preference list

Next, you are required to select the bank you would like to apply for. You need to select all the banks given on the page. After making the order preference, click on validate your details. To move forward, click on save & Next

Review application form

Review your complete application form once again. Provide confirmation for the photo, signature and declaration and click on Final Submit. The candidates should note that they can't change/edit the application form after final submission.

Upload thumb impression and handwritten declaration

Next, you need to upload your thumb impression, handwritten declaration and security code provided on the page. After uploading the documents, click on Save & Next

Fee Payment

Your application form is complete now. You need to pay the application fee before final submission of your application form. The application fee for general candidates is Rs 600 and for Rs 100 for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM candidates. Save and take a print out of the application reference after application fee payment.
