The Indian Institute of Technlology (IIT) Guwahati has clarified that the final answer key for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 has not yet been released according to media reports. Previously, we recieved information that answer keys were released, but officials say they are yet to be issued. According to the official website, the GATE result 2026 will be released tomorrow, March 19, 2026. Updates regarding the final answer key will be published through the official GATE portals and social media channels of the organising institute. Aspirants must check the official websites, gate2026.iitg.ac.in and goaps.iitg.ac.in to access the answer key.
Following this release, candidates were given an opportunity to raise objections. The challenge window remained open from February 25 to March 15, allowing candidates to contest any discrepancies in the provisional answer keys or response sheets.
The GATE 2026 examination was conducted for four days from February 7 to February 15. The national-level test covered a total of 30 subject papers and was held in multiple sessions across the country.
During the exam, both the questions and the answer options were shuffled to maintain fairness and reduce the possibility of copying. As a result, candidates were required to match the questions appearing in their response sheets with the corresponding questions in the master question paper. The GOAPS portal clarified that the answer keys correspond only to the master question papers.
The GATE scorecard will include section-wise marks, the overall score, and the candidate’s All India Rank (AIR). However, scorecards will be issued only to candidates who meet the official cutoff marks.

- Move to the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
- On the homepage, search and click on the GOAPS candidate login link.
- Enter the Enrollment ID or registered email ID and password.
- Go to the question paper and answer key section.
- Select the relevant exam paper and download the PDF answer key.
