CUET UG 2026 exam scheduled for May 28 postponed due to Bakrid, NTA to announce new dates soon
CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 examination scheduled for May 28, 2026. The exam has been postponed due to the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday.
According to the official notice released by NTA, the CUET UG 2026 exams planned for May 28 in both shifts will now be conducted on revised dates, which will be announced later.
The notice says that the decision was taken following the DoPT notification regarding the change in the holiday date for Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid).
Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official websites, which include NTA and CUET UG Portal, for the latest updates and announcements regarding the revised examination schedule.
NTA has also asked students to rely only on official communication to avoid confusion and misinformation.

The CUET UG 2026 examination will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam consists of three sections, which include, Language, Domain-Specific Subjects, and General Test.
Each paper contains multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and all questions are compulsory. Candidates are generally given 60 minutes to complete each subject paper.
Under the marking scheme, students will receive five marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
CUET UG is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate courses offered by Central Universities and several other state, deemed, and private universities across the country.
The examination provides students with a common platform to apply to multiple universities using a single score, helping create a more uniform and transparent admission process.
