The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has published the notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) for the year 2026. The recruitment process is conducted to fill 78 vacancies in the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department of the Bihar government. To be eligible for the Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) post, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.
Regarding the age criteria, the applicant should be a minimum of 20 years old. The maximum age limit has been fixed at 37 years for male applicants and 40 years for female applicants. The relaxation in the age limit will be applicable for applicants belonging to the reserved categories, as per the existing state government rules.
The application fee for all categories has been fixed at ₹100, which is to be paid online through debit card, credit card, net banking, or other digital payment methods.
The Bihar Police SI Prohibition Recruitment 2026 will comprise various rounds. The candidates will be required to appear for a preliminary written test, followed by a main written test.
