Bank of India Credit Officer recruitment 2026: The Bank of India (BOI) will close the online application window for Credit Officer recruitment tomorrow, January 5, 2026. This is the last chance for eligible candidates to apply. The recruitment drive is being conducted for experienced banking professionals under the General Banking Officer (GBO) stream.
A total of 514 vacancies have been announced. Applications are being accepted only through the official website, bankofindia.bank.in. No forms will be accepted after the deadline.
The vacancies are spread across three management grades. These posts are meant for officers with prior banking and credit experience.

Educational qualification
Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognised university. Professional qualifications are preferred for several posts. These include Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), ICWA, MBA, or PGDBM in Banking or Finance. The exact requirement depends on the scale applied for.
Age Limit (as on November 1, 2025)
This recruitment is strictly for experienced officers.
The assessment will focus on professional knowledge, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, and credit and risk management concepts.
The vacancies are spread across three management grades. These posts are meant for officers with prior banking and credit experience.
- Senior Management Grade Scale-IV (SMGS-IV): 36 posts
- Middle Management Grade Scale-III (MMGS-III): 60 posts
- Middle Management Grade Scale-II (MMGS-II): 418 posts

Educational qualification
Age Limit (as on November 1, 2025)
- MMGS-II: 25 to 35 years
- MMGS-III: 28 to 38 years
- SMGS-IV: 30 to 40 years
Bank of India recruitment 2026: Experience requirement is mandatory
This recruitment is strictly for experienced officers.
- MMGS-II: At least 3 years of officer-level experience after qualification. A minimum of 2 years must be in MSME, corporate, or commercial credit.
- MMGS-III and SMGS-IV: Between 5 and 8 years of relevant banking and credit experience, depending on the scale.
