CTET September 2026 registration underway at ctet.nic.in: Check direct link to apply, key details
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the registration process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 examination. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, which is, ctet.nic.in.
According to the official notification, the online application process began on May 11, 2026, and candidates can submit their application forms till June 10, 2026, before 11:59 pm.
CTET is conducted for candidates who wish to become teachers for Classes 1 to 8 in central government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and schools affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Here is the fee which is to be given to apply:
GST charges will be applicable separately.
CTET will be conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets. The examination will include two papers.
Both papers will contain 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks. The duration of each paper will be two-and-a-half hours.
The main question paper will be bilingual in Hindi and English.
The CTET qualifying certificate will remain valid for lifetime for all categories. There is also no restriction on the number of attempts. Candidates who have already qualified CTET can appear again to improve their scores.
CBSE has informed that candidates will not be allowed to choose their examination city while filling the application form. The exam city and examination date will be allotted randomly by the board.
Candidates are also advised to carefully check the eligibility criteria before applying, as eligibility will be verified later by the recruiting authority.
The board will release the CTET September 2026 admit card on the official website before the examination. Candidates will be able to download it using their login credentials.
