Three students from Ghaziabad school named in UN-backed changemakers list
Three students from Uttam School for Girls have been selected in the UN-backed Top 50 Changemakers list released by 1M1B. The students — Dharaa Khare, Janhavi Batra and Nishtha Aswal — were recognised for projects focused on digital responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Their initiatives, Swarsaathi and Suryatra, along with the Digital Nagrik mission, were evaluated for innovation, outreach and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The trio presented their work at the 1M1B Global Summit held at the United Nations Office in Geneva, where youth-led projects from multiple countries were showcased.
School representatives said the recognition highlights the increasing role of students in community-driven problem-solving and social impact interventions.
