We all have seen the excellent dancer that Rashami Desai is with shows like Nach Baliye 7 and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 5. Not eager to get back to daily soaps as yet, Rashami is taking her time to decide what to do next. In the meantime due to her love for dance she is all set to put in a guest appearance in Dance India Dance, Season 5. “I love dancing and I am coming on DID to support Sahil, one of the contestants,” confirms Rashami.
The pretty actor who has been doing more of reality shows of late, does not want to rush things when it comes to taking up offers for daily soaps, “After doing the long running show Uttaran, another fiction show has to be something that really excites me. It should be worth it as an actor. At present, I am content and like to have my 'me time' to just chill and more importantly take care of personal things which get ignored when you get busy with doing Television.”

The popular host and talented actor Jay Bhanushali recently sported a new look for the dance reality show, Dance India Dance. Cropped from only one side with a ponytail, Jay’s new hairdo is apparently called ‘cornrows braids’. The new hairdo has been getting Jay a lot of attention and flattering response but not many are aware that Jay’s new look is inspired by David Beckham, as he’s a huge fan of the footballer and the way the international football star conducts himself.

Salman Khan dances in DID 5
This weekend catch Salman Khan shake a leg with Grand Master Mithun and the grand 15 contestants of Dance India Dance Season 5. Salman made an appearance in the show to promote his upcoming film 'Bajrangi Bhaijan'. Talking about the performers Salman said in a statement,"Every act was so immaculate at least for me as I couldn't make out a single error. No nervousness on any of the faces, just confidence and perfection. These dancers are true performers with original, individual styles, I've learned a lot from them today. 'DID' rocks, the talent rocks."

Buzz is that 'DID' has a re-designed format this season, thus presenting itself in the form of the ‘Biggest Battleground of Dance’ this year. Each participant is expected to scale new standards of perfection. What’s more, they have to challenge the others to #BeatThat performances too.
'DID' is a property of Zee channel and according to sources it is expected to earn a revenue to the tune of Rs 90-95 crore this season.

Akash Chawla further said, “There have been four seasons of 'DID' so far. Not just that, we had sub-franchises like 'DID Super Moms', 'Lil Masters', not forgetting the other dance reality shows which came up after 'DID'. From an audience point of view, we thought this was the right time to break the predictability of the format, thus surprising audiences with something which they might not even expect from the show.”

DID-fame judges Geeta, Terrence and Remo have been replaced this season. This year’s panellists include Mudassar Khan, 'DID' season 4 judge and choreographer; Gaiti Siddiqui, coach and creative guide for 'DID' stars over the years; and Punit Pathak, 'DID' season 2 finalist.
Talking about the changes in DID 5 Akash Chawla, Essel Vision Productions business head, said, “People already know Geeta, Remo and Terence as masters of 'DID,' so the first shot with new masters while is scary, it is also exciting. For people working behind the camera, the success of the season will be determined by how the new masters are accepted.”

While 'DID 5' has a new set of judges, veteran actor Mithun Chakravarty is retained in the show as the Grandmaster who will guide and motivate contestants.

The participants for the show this year are hand-picked across 17 cities in the country including Mumbai, Delhi, Indore, Ranchi, Guwahati, Raipur, Siliguri, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Nagpur and Vadodara. The talent was picked from other mediums like digital, dancing schools, and talent scouting agencies.
'DID 5' will run for 15 weeks. The weekly eliminations would be on the basis of the judges’ scorecards till it gets its top 10 contestants. After this the winner would be decide by the viewers.
