Protest in city opposing CAA

Visakhapatnam: A section of Muslim women from Visakhapatnam, organised under the banner of ‘Vizag Shaheen Bagh JAC’ staged a protest against CAA, NRC and NPR on Friday. The demonstration took place at the Gandhi statue near the GVMC office.
The protestors, mostly comprising Muslim women, were supported by Progressive Organisation for Women (POW).
The protestors demanded that the government repeal the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).he protestors further said that the state government should pass a resolution against CAA like some other states. tnn
