Woman, along with 2 children, commits suicide by jumping into lake near Kurnool

Tirupati: In a tragic development, a 32-year-old housewife allegedly committed suicide along with her two sons by jumping into Gargeyapuram lake near Kurnool. The deceased were identified as Rajeshwari, Sukumar (6), and Abraham (3).Police said Rajeshwari, a resident of Gargeyapuram village in Kurnool district, was married to one Raju, a native of Alampur in Telangana. The couple had two children, and their marital life was going on smoothly.In recent months, however, there used to be frequent altercations between them. Following one such altercation, Rajeshwari left her husband's place a few months ago and began staying with her parents at Gargeyapuram.While what exactly happened is being investigated by the police, Rajeshwari reportedly left home along with her two children on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, their bodies were found floating dead in Gargeyapuram waterbody.Passers-by informed local police, who retrieved the bodies and sent them for postmortem to the govt general hospital in Kurnool. Kurnool DSP J Babu Prasad said Taluk police have registered a case and are investigating.
