Wife, 2 others arrested in Madanapalle realtor’s murder case

Tirupati: Annamayya district police have cracked the sensational murder case of Madanapalle realtor N Gangadhar and arrested the deceased's wife along with her two accomplices."N Gangadhar (37), a realtor and a moneylender, was found brutally murdered at his residence near Basinikonda at Madanapalle on June 16. His wife N Vanitha told the police that some unidentified men smothered him to death with a boulder while he was asleep. Madanapalle taluk police registered a case following a complaint lodged by the victim's younger brother N Venkatesh", Annamayya district SP V Vidyasagar Naidu said.The family members suspected involvement of Gangadhar's wife Vanitha as she had absconded the day after the murder, the Sp said, adding that the taluk police arrested Vanitha along with two others identified as Sadum Reddy Ramu (36) and Ganji Mahesh (20) on the outskirts of Madanapalle on Wednesday. Vanitha confessed to have orchestrated her husband's murder, said SP Naidu. Vanitha told police that she married Gangadhar in 2012 and they have a 10-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son. Off late, Gangadhar turned into a womaniser. He was lending money to several women and forcing them to have sex with him when they failed to repay him on time. "He used to record their intimate pictures and videos and torture several women," Vanitha told the police. "After a point when I could no longer bear with his psychic acts of lust and decided to have him killed. I approached Sadum Reddy Ramu and Ganji Mahesh for help. On June 16, as per the plan, I added sleeping pills in food and to made him sleep. Later I took a big boulder and smothered him to death", Vanitha told the police. The police have recovered the boulder used by Vanitha to kill her husband. She, along with her two co-accused were presented before the local court at Madanapalle and sent to judicial remand on Wednesday. Annamayya SP told reporters that the case will be further investigated in view of several startling revelations made by Vanitha.
