Wanted AP fugitive Anil Reddy extradited from UAE
Visakhapatnam: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has successfully repatriated a fugitive wanted in Andhra Pradesh from the United Arab Emirates through INTERPOL channels. Anil Kumar Reddy Yeddula is accused of cheating, criminal breach of trust, and criminal intimidation.On Feb 26, the International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU) of CBI, in collaboration with MEA and NCB-Abu Dhabi, successfully brought Reddy back to India. He was escorted by a team of Dubai police and arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. Upon arrival, he was handed over to the Andhra Pradesh police.

The CBI issued a Red Notice published through INTERPOL on Sep 5, 2022, at the request of the AP police. He was arrested by the UAE authorities, and a decision was made to extradite him to India. Red Notices published by INTERPOL are circulated to law enforcement agencies worldwide to track wanted criminals.As the national central bureau for INTERPOL in India, the CBI coordinates with various law enforcement agencies across India through BHARATPOL to facilitate assistance via INTERPOL channels. Over the past few years, more than 130 wanted criminals have been brought back to India through coordination with INTERPOL channels.
