Visakhapatnam: Vizag city witnessed an International City Parade (ICP) along RK Beach and an Indian Navy air power demonstration by Indian Naval aircraft and helicopters on Thursday as part of the International Fleet Review (IFR) and the
Indian Navy's largest-ever multilateral naval exercise MILAN- 2026. Thousands of people lined up along RK Beach to watch the two events. RK Beach reflected a war zone as well as a tourist spot during the events.
The Indian Navy displayed its maritime, air and onshore capabilities, putting forth the might of its fleets. The MIG 29K fighter aircrafts combat and composite manoeuvring and the composite fly-past of the helicopters and aircraft enthralled the spectators during the air power demonstration.

The ICP painted a vibrant picture of the diverse cultures and the air resonated with patriotic music as marching bands from India and other friendly foreign navies enthralled the spectators. The parade included participation from the National Cadet Corps, Sea Cadet Corps, and Navy Children School, reflecting the spirit of the youth. A harmonious fusion of military ceremony, culture and art, the city parade was a blend of vibrant cultural troupes with artistic tableaux that celebrate India's maritime heritage and diversity.
The City Parade culminated with a ceremonial illumination of ships anchored off the coast, followed by a synchronised display of fireworks, laser lights and drone formations and a few others. Together, these events offered a fitting celebratory finale to IFR 26. Governor of Andhra Pradesh S Abdul Nazeer was the chief guest of the international city parade and air power demonstration on Thursday.
