Pawan Kalyan marks JSP anniversary in remote tribal villages
Visakhapatnam: No grand stages, hoardings, or loud DJ music. Amid lush green surroundings—planning progress at every step and reflecting on what has been done for the people so far and what more needs to be done—Jana Sena Party president and deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan celebrated the party's anniversary uniquely among the tribal communities in the Manyam villages. Remote tribal villages in the Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR)district, the Paderu constituency, and newly constructed roads became the venues for the 13th anniversary celebrations of the Jana Sena Party. As part of the Adavi Thalli Bata programme, Pavan Kalyan inspected roads and drinking water taps set up under the Jal Jeevan Mission, visited tribal hamlets, and enquired about their problems. He suggested measures to officials to improve amenities and employment opportunities in tribal areas. Through the Maata Manthi programme, he interacted closely with agency residents. Villages such as Onuru and Nandigaruvu in the Paderu Assembly constituency hosted these celebrations. Party PAC chairman and minister for Food and civil supplies Nadendla Manohar participated in the programme.Pawan Kalyan, who called for the 13th anniversary celebrations to be held at the village level, celebrated among forest children in a remote tribal hamlet. He hoisted the new flagpole erected at Onuru Junction and extended greetings to party cadres, expressing gratitude to everyone working to strengthen the party. He suggested that officials plant fruit-bearing trees such as jackfruit and custard apple along newly built roads in tribal villages under the Adavi Thalli Bata initiative, stating that this would generate additional income for tribal families. He directed officials to prepare plans to develop eco-tourism by setting up bamboo cottages in the Kondavallu areas and turning scenic tribal viewpoints into homestays and film-shooting spots. He also suggested providing special training for tribal youth in private security firms.Later, he walked and inspected the newly constructed 2.4 km road from Onuru Junction to Nandigaruvu under the PM Jan Man scheme. The construction quality of the BT road, built at a cost of Rs 1.70 crore, impressed him. Officials informed him that eight culverts were constructed along the 2.4 km stretch.Tribal residents warmly welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister for providing a new road and clean drinking water under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Villagers from Kothapolam, located below the hill between Onuru and Nandigaruvu, met Pawan Kalyan. Tribal women submitted a petition seeking a road, drinking water facilities, and a school building for their village. He immediately contacted senior officials and instructed them to provide the required facilities. He informed them that ₹6.90 lakh had already been sanctioned for drinking water facilities in Kothapolam, one of the 3,000 most water-scarce villages. A road was sanctioned under the VBG Ram G Pathakam, and he assured the villagers that all their issues would be resolved.
