Naidu hails legislators’ sporting spirit

Vijayawada: Stating that the efforts of MLAs and MLCs in the sports competitions were no less than those of professional sportspersons, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu praised all the MLAs, MLCs and elected representatives who actively took part in the sports competitions organised as part of the AP Legislators Sports Meet 2026.Chandrababu attended as the chief guest and distributed prizes to the winners of the sports competitions during the MLA and MLC cultural programme held in Vijayawada on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu said the MLAs and MLCs proved themselves to be all-rounders by not limiting themselves to politics alone and by actively participating in sports competitions. He appreciated all the legislators for displaying remarkable talent in the sporting events.Earlier, Tourism minister Kandula Durgesh enthralled the audience with a powerful stage performance portraying freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomman during the cultural programme.
