Mystery deepens over death of 26-year-old in Kurnool district

Tirupati: Mystery shrouds the death of a 26-year-old housewife reported at Pattikonda in Kurnool district.According to the police, the deceased was identified as Maha Lakshmi. She allegedly committed suicide in her house in Pattikonda. Maha Lakshmi's parents and relatives, who learnt about her death, reached Kondagere Street and complained to the police that she was beaten and forcibly hanged to death by her husband and in-laws.Maha Lakshmi's husband and in-laws told the police that she frequently fell sick and was disturbed, because of which she took the extreme step and committed suicide.After allegations and counter-allegations surfaced over Maha Lakshmi's death, Pattikonda police examined the crime scene and shifted the deceased's body for a post-mortem. Police told reporters that the exact cause of death will be ascertained once the post-mortem formalities are completed.
