Minister Narayana reviews VMRDA master plan roads in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: State municipal administration and urban development minister P Narayana inspected several master plan roads being developed by the VMRDA in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. These roads are designed to connect unserved areas with the national highway passing through Vizag city or the Anandapuram–Anakapalli highway, providing alternative routes to the upcoming Bhogapuram international airport. The minister was accompanied by VMRDA chairman M V Pranav Gopal and GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg. They reviewed the construction of roads from Nerellavalasa to Kothavalasa, Boyapalem to Kapuluppada, and Bheemili to Doratota junction. The minister inquired about the challenges faced during construction and checked the current status of the roads, asking officials when the works would be completed. He directed officials to ensure that there are no delays in the construction. Officials explained that once these roads are completed, they will provide direct access to Bhogapuram International Airport. The minister also instructed that road construction should be completed before the airport becomes operational. VMRDA chairman M. V. Pranav Gopal said that following the guidance of the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, the construction of these roads is being monitored regularly. He also assured that the works would be completed within the planned time frame.
