IRR case takes fresh turn as Vijayawada ACB court summons Alla Ramakrishna Reddy
Vijayawada: The Inner Ring Road (IRR) case took a fresh legal turn, with the ACB Court in Vijayawada issuing summons to former Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, directing him to appear in person on Feb 27, 2026.The move followed a petition filed by Ramakrishna Reddy challenging notices served on him by the CID. The agency had earlier informed him that the IRR case—linked to alleged irregularities between 2014 and 2019—was being examined under the classification of "Mistake of Facts" (MoF).

During the hearing, the ACB Court sought clarification from the CID on whether it had any objections regarding the MoF status in the case. The Judge also instructed Ramakrishna Reddy to present himself before the court and formally state his objections, if any, to the proceedings initiated by the CID.Interestingly, Ramakrishna Reddy was the original complainant in the case. He alleged large-scale irregularities in the alignment of the proposed Inner Ring Road project. In his complaint, he claimed that the road alignment was deliberately altered and the information leaked to certain key leaders of the TDP and associates of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, enabling them to allegedly acquire vast extents of land along the proposed corridor. The IRR case long remained politically sensitive, triggering intense debate and legal scrutiny.
