Heritage MD issues statement on quality measures amid laddu ghee allegations
Vijayawada: After initiating legal proceedings against those who made allegations against Heritage Foods by linking it with the TTD laddu issue, the company's managing director, Nara Bhuvaneswari, issued a statement explaining the quality measures the company ensures before delivering products to consumers.Heritage Foods, a company founded by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu about three decades ago, has been managed by his family members after he became the CM in the 90s. Bhuvaneswari, the MD of Heritage and the CM's wife, said Heritage has always stood for its values and ensures the highest standards of quality control.

She said the company, which started with Rs 4 crore, has now became a Rs 4,000 crore company by winning the confidence of 3 lakh farmers. "Every product of Heritage pass through 25 quality tests, and 500 experts continuously monitor the testing processes. The company is open to scrutiny, and anyone can come and see the kind of procedures we have put in place," she said, while urging people to see the truth and believe in what they see.Heritage was caught in a political turmoil after opposition YSRCP alleged that it supplied ghee to TTD through its associate company, Indapur Dairy. They also alleged that the ghee supplied by Indapur was adulterated. Heritage has denied the allegations and clarified that it never supplied ghee to any temple, and that Indapur was only a contract manufacturer, and did not have any ties with it. Heritage also moved the Delhi high court, alleging that articles were published with a mala fide intention to tarnish the image of the company. The Delhi HC has directed all platforms to take down the content against Heritage.
