Tirupati: The explosion of LPG cylinders led to panic among the locals and devotees alike at Mantralayam in Kurnool district on Wednesday. According to the local police, the gas cylinder explosion was reported at a temporary shelter place created for daily wage labourers from Bihar. As the explosion was triggered near Narahari Sadan, close to the Mantralayam shrine, Mantralayam pontiff Subhudendra Teertha Swamy, along with the local police, rushed to the spot and inspected the place. Preliminary investigation by the Mantralayam police confirmed that three LPG cylinders involved in a mysterious fire triggered the blast. As no one was present at the time of the incident, no fatalities were reported. Mantralayam police registered a case and are further investigating.
