Vijayawada: The investigation into the alleged kidnapping of student leaders has intensified, with Tiruchanur Police arresting four more accused on Wednesday. With these latest arrests, the total number of people taken into custody in the case has risen to 17.Police registered a kidnapping case against members of the management staff of Mohan Babu University in Feb, following complaints related to the abduction of student leaders. The case has triggered widespread attention, with authorities probing the involvement of multiple individuals linked to the institution.According to officials, circle inspector Sunil Kumar led the operation that resulted in the arrest of four individuals identified as Madhu, Kiran Kumar Reddy, Harikrishna and Kishore. All four were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.Police sources indicated that the arrests were made based on evidence collected during the ongoing investigation, including statements from earlier accused and technical inputs. Investigators are examining the sequence of events leading to the alleged kidnapping and the roles played by each accused.Authorities have not ruled out further arrests as the probe continues. Officials stated that efforts are underway to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
