UP man beats father to death over wheat dispute; woman injured
BALLIA: A 75-year-old man was beaten to death and his wife critically injured after their son allegedly attacked with a stick over a dispute wheat distribution in UP’s Ballia district, police said on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Mahendra Chauhan (75), while his wife, Shaila Devi (68). The incident occurred in Natthupur village under the Rasra police station area, injured woman has been admitted to the district hospital.DSP Alok Gupta said a police team rushed to the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it for postmortem.According to police, the dispute had been ongoing for two days after Mahendra Chauhan gave two sacks of wheat to his daughter, which triggered his son, Pappu Chauhan. Following a complaint filed by the deceased’s son Sukul Chauhan, police registered a case against Pappu Chauhan and arrested him
