‘CM Yogi’s Japan visit to boost state’s MSME sector and jobs’

Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's recent visit to Japan is expected to give a fresh momentum to the state's MSME sector through technology upgradation, skill development and innovation, said the president of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Deepak Kariwal, provincial.Describing the visit as a significant step towards attracting investment and accelerating industrial growth, Kariwal said collaboration with Japan would further strengthen the micro, small and medium enterprises ecosystem in the state and generate large-scale employment.
He said Japan's reported proposals to partner with the UP govt in areas such as technology transfer, skill development, joint ventures, supply chain integration and online marketing would prove crucial for the sector's expansion. "These initiatives reflect the outcome of the CM's sustained efforts to transform Uttar Pradesh into an industrial hub and move towards a one-trillion-dollar economy," he said.Kariwal added that improved law and order and proactive industrial policies had enhanced investor confidence in the state, prompting leading Japanese companies to express interest in investing in sectors including agricultural machinery, auto and auto components, auto R&D, semiconductors, data centres, green hydrogen, compressed biogas, logistics and warehousing.He further said that under a proposed collaboration in the green hydrogen sector, Yamanashi Hydrogen Company will establish a Centre of Excellence by making Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur the nodal institution, in partnership with Indian IIT-BHU Varanasi and Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. As part of the initiative, Indian students will also receive training in Japan.Kariwal said the chief minister's foreign outreach would provide renewed impetus to industrial development across the state, including Gorakhpur.
