CM inspects devpt projects, stresses on quality & deadline

Varanasi: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday inspected various development projects in the city, pushing for timely completion and top-notch quality.Yogi started a series of inspections from the roads being constructed under the CM Grid scheme and directed officials to complete the works within the stipulated time frame, ensuring quality as per standards.Six smart roads are coming up in the Varanasi urban area under the CM Grid scheme, costing Rs 47 crore. The roads are: Tilak Ji ki Murti to Bharat Seva Ashram, Golghar Chauraha to LT College, Ghanti Mill to Sigra Thana, Sigra Chauraha to Aurangabad, Sundarpur main road to Cherian Hospital, and Ravidas Gate to Trauma Centre.The CM was told that around 90% work is done. Officials are going all out on greenery along these roads, adding plants and sitting areas alongside footpaths so that people can enjoy the vibe.Divisional commissioner S Rajalingam gave a presentation on proposed projects to CM Yogi. Before that, district magistrate Satyendra Kumar briefed the CM about ongoing development works, saying 74 projects worth Rs 17,000 crore are underway, with regular monitoring in place.Inspecting the medical college being built on 14.2 acres at Mental Hospital, Pandeypur, the CM stressed speeding up work to meet the deadline. He ordered regular monitoring of construction progress.It was informed that approximately 150 MBBS students will study in this medical college. The construction work of the medical college will be completed in 2027. Approximately Rs 150 crore will be spent on its civil works.Thereafter, Yogi offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath and Kaal Bhairav temples.
