Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday evening visited Luhsi village in Pipraich to attend the Brahm Bhoj of Markandeya Yadav, a devoted follower of the Gorakshapeeth, and paid tributes to the departed soul.
Markandeya Yadav passed away on April 1. The CM had earlier visited his ancestral village the following day and offered floral tributes to the mortal remains.
Continuing the gesture, the CM attended the Brahm Bhoj, where he offered flowers to Yadav’s portrait and prayed for the peace of the departed soul at the feet of Guru Gorakhnath. He also met and consoled the bereaved family members.
