Vadodara: Water supply to Vadodara city will be hit due to the flooding in Mahi river. Supply from the French wells of the civic body in the river as well as the water supply project in Sindhrot which draws water from the river will be affected.
The supply from Sindhrot was affected as the approach road to the water supply project was submerged under water.
The power supply in the area was discontinued as a precautionary measure.
In-charge additional city engineer (waterworks) Amrut Makwana said that the water in the river had started receding around Sindhrot on Monday. It was expected that the project would resume operations in the night, he said.
Water supply from two French wells located at Raika and Dodka was also affected due to flood in Mahi river. tnn
