Seminar on RWH held in Trichy

Trichy: As a part of World Water Day, a seminar on rainwater harvesting was held on the SRM Medical College Hospital campus in Trichy on Sunday. Organized by Sadhguru's Cauvery Calling movement, it focused on practical solutions to address declining groundwater levels and increasing salinity in both residential and agricultural areas. Experts shared guidance on constructing effective rainwater harvesting systems. Awards were presented to Manikandan of Coimbatore Kulangal, Sujatha Ayyappa Masagi of the Water Literacy Foundation (Karnataka), Selvaraj of Koushika Neerkarangal, representatives from Olirum Erode, and rainwater harvesting expert Sivasubramanian. An exhibition showcasing rainwater harvesting equipment, modern irrigation technologies, and natural farming products was also held.
