NTK candidate vows to resolve NH service road issue
Trichy: NTK candidate T Rajessh, fielded from Thiruverumbur, has made a headstart in the election campaign from Suriyur, highlighting pending infrastructure demands of the segment. He accused incumbent DMK MLA and school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi of failing to fulfil his promise of facilitating service roads for Trichy-Thanjavur NH."The minister has not brought any significant projects to our constituency. Instead of providing playgrounds for govt schools, he is developing Olympic Academy, which will benefit only students of private educational institutions," he said. Rajessh, who was part of the 2017 pro-jallikattu protests, secured over 1 lakh votes and came third in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. "I will resolve the service roads for Trichy-Thanjavur NH in a year. I will retrieve Ariyamangalam dump yard's land within two years once elected. If not, I shall resign," he dded.
