NIT-T Pragyan fest theme reflects on time periods

Trichy: National Institute of Technology (NIT)- Trichy's annual international techno-managerial festival Pragyan '26, commenced on Thursday.The theme for Pragyan '26, titled "Anachronia", was unveiled as a creative concept where different time periods collide — reflecting the past's imagination of the future world.Chief guest, M Prasanna Kumar, chairman and managing director of Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) India Limited, inaugurated the fest. The ceremony was followed by an infotainment performance by W Entertainers.On Friday, it began with the inauguration of ESI (Exhibition, Sangam and Ingenium). The event was inaugurated by G Aghila, director of NIT-T, along with Sivakumar Palanisamy, vice-president and chief of staff, StartupTN.The day featured guest lectures by Hrishikesh V, engineering director at CrowdStrike, and C Chandrasekharan, deputy director for instrumentation and control systems at Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro), offering industry and research perspectives to students. Technical events such as AeroRush, Fist of God, Circuitrix, and Clique and Clues also took place. A highlight was the ESI inauguration and special exhibits at GJCH, which attracted students, innovators and faculty members alike. Beyond technical events, the campus had activities such as the TVS stunt show at the orion entrance and multiple informal stage programmes. The festival is to continue till Feb 22.
