NDA waiting for TVK a media narrative: TTV
Trichy: Seconding AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami's statement that NDA is not holding any coalition talks with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), AMMK general secretary T T V Dhinakaran said in Trichy on Thursday that it is the media which is setting a narrative that NDA is awaiting TVK. Claiming that DMK is accepting any party that approaches it, ‘including some outdated politicians,' Dhinakaran said the NDA coalition headed by AIADMK will oust DMK from power in the election."As Annan (elder brother) Edappadi Palaniswami rightly said, there is no such coalition talk going on between NDA and TVK; it is a media hype. We are not waiting for Vijay (TVK president) and are not holding seat-sharing talks for him," he said. He said law and order situation worsened in the state due to drug abuse, and most crime incidents reported involved DMK party men. Explaining the ‘double-engine' govt model, TTV said, "There will be an AIADMK engine in Tamil Nadu and the other engine will be the central govt." He termed DMK a fraudulent engine ‘without ticket that failed to fulfil poll promises.'"Unlike the strained alliance of DMK-Congress, parties in our alliance maintain smooth relationship. Annan EPS and home minister Amit Shah will discuss and finalise the seat-sharing deal. We will finalise it at an appropriate time," he said. "Amma's (Jayalalithaa) govt will come in May 2026 through the NDA coalition govt," he added.
