TRICHY: Festember, one of the largest inter-collegiate cultural festivals in South India, will begin at National Institute of Technology-Trichy (NIT-T) on Thursday.

More than 15,000 students from about 500 colleges are expected to participate in over 70 events spread across four days.

“Sunken Paradise” is the theme of the festival, said NIT-T director Dr G Aghila.

The star-studded programme will see Rakshita Suresh, Sam Vishal and Karthick Devraj performing on Fusion Nite. Jonita Gandhi will entertain the audience with her chartbuster tracks on Popular Nite.

The fest will also host the hilarious Abish Mathew for a comedy show. DJ Papa Balooshy and Mangas and the Mango men will be entertaining the audience on Party Nite while musical artist Swattrex is to perform on EDM Nite, the director added.

Interactive guest lectures have also been planned with a lineup of speakers like poet Meena Kandasamy, music director Vishal Chandrasekhar, model-actress Adah Sharma, film director Ashwin Saravanan and actor Dhruv Vikram, she added.
