DMK copying NTK’s decentralisation plank: Seeman
Perambalur: NTK chief coordinator Seeman on Sunday accused the ruling DMK of adopting his party's long-standing proposal to decentralise the state capital while campaigning in the district.Addressing a rally, Seeman said NTK had consistently advocated decentralisation and alleged that the DMK had now taken up the idea. He campaigned for NTK candidates Suganya (Perambalur) and Keerthivasan (Kunnam). Framing the contest as a "battle between justice and injustice", Seeman criticised Dravidian parties, accusing them of weakening Tamil identity and promoting a "hybrid language culture". He urged voters to rise above caste and religious divisions and assert a unified Tamil identity. The NTK leader also targeted the DMK-led alliance, questioning the need for a broad coalition and alleging that its partners had failed to stand with people during crises. "NTK cadres have consistently worked on the ground," he said. Launching a sharp attack on dynastic politics, Seeman questioned the credentials of chief minister M K Stalin and deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. He also criticised national parties, including the Congress and the BJP. Urging voters to give NTK a chance, Seeman promised governance focused on education, healthcare, water access and agriculture, and called for an end to hunger in the state.
