Burglars break into house, loot 3 sovereigns gold

Trichy: Miscreants broke into the house of an autorickshaw driver near KK Nagar in Trichy and stole three sovereigns of gold jewellery. The theft reportedly took place on Wednesday at the residence of P Shanmugasundaram, 52, in Ayyappan Nagar.On Wednesday, Shanmugasundaram left home with his family without securing the house. When the family returned that night, they discovered that approximately three sovereigns of gold jewellery had been stolen.Shanmugasundaram lodged a complaint with the police. The KK Nagar crime police carried out an initial investigation and registered a case under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). They are now searching for the suspects.
