Travancore Devaswom Board initiates digitalisation of temples and offices
Thiruvananthapuram: Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) has initiated steps towards complete digitalisation of all temples and offices functioning under its administration. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the board and Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Ltd (KSITIL).The agreement was signed during a function held at devaswom board headquarters. Devaswom commissioner B Sunilkumar signed the MoU on behalf of the board, while director Rahul K Raj signed on behalf of KSITIL. The digitalisation project will cover temple administration, file movement, financial transactions, various services for devotees and multiple online services related to Sabarimala temple. Authorities said the first module, focusing on online services at Sabarimala, will be implemented before the upcoming Mandala-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season. Officials said the move is aimed at improving the speed, efficiency and transparency of services provided to devotees through TDB. TDB president K Jayakumar, board members K Raju and P D Santhosh Kumar, along with devaswom board secretary P N Ganeshwaran Potty, attended the function.
