Thiruvananthapuram division railway officials receive Athi Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar
Thiruvananthapuram: Ranjith K P, senior divisional signal and telecommunication engineer of Thiruvananthapuram division and Pramod R P, chief health inspector, divisional railway hospital, Thiruvananthapuram Pettah, were honoured with Athi Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar for their outstanding and exemplary contributions to Indian Railways. The awards were presented by Union minister for railways Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Saturday.The Athi Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar was instituted to recognise and reward exceptional contributions that significantly enhance the growth, efficiency, safety and service standards of the railways. Individual awards are announced every year at the railway board level and are conferred by the minister. The awards form part of the Railway Week celebrations, commemorating the commissioning of the first passenger train in India on April 16, 1853. The award is among the highest honours in a railway professional's career and reflects the organisation's commitment to excellence, innovation and public service.
