NEW DELHI: IMD has predicted heavy rainfall across various regions of Kerala on Thursday, with four districts being placed under an orange alert.
These districts include Kollam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Thrissur. Additionally, eight other districts have been placed under a yellow alert.
An orange alert indicates very heavy rainfall ranging from 6 cm to 20 cm, whilst a yellow alert signifies heavy rainfall between 6 and 11 cm.
According to the IMD forecast, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is anticipated in certain areas of the state over the next five days.
Some regions might experience very heavy rainfall on Thursday.
