The TMC has formed a society at its Jiddh School, comprising of ex-students and parents. The aim is to enable special students, particularly the girl child to be self-sufficient after they finish school.
Physically challenged ex-students, along with parents of current students have formed the society, which has been named Janiv. "Five girls approached me to discuss the problems that they face.

Due to the limitations and restrictions, it is difficult for them to get a job. That's when we came up with the idea of forming an ex-student society," informed Shamashree Bhosle, principal of Jiddh School.
The society operates out of a classroom, where girls prepare paper bags, garlands, diyas and other seasonal things. Parents, who are members of the student society, help the girls to market these products.
Currently, five girls and six parents are part of the society. They meet daily and have formed a small-scale business. Jiddh School also plans on helping them with government schemes for women.
The five girls, Jagruti Kadam, Sunita Chavre, Tasleen Sheikh, Sulochana Mhetre and Rani Argade are active members of the society.
Parents who are part of the society feel that the girls are an inspiration for their children, who are current students of Jiddh School.
