INS Mysore

is scheduled to arrive at Dahej port on December 8 as a part of a two-day international symposium on ‘The Sea and The Knowledge’ that begins in

Bharuch

on December 9.

INS Mysore is a Delhi-Class guided –missile Destroyer currently in active service with the Indian Navy. The destroyer is manufactured by Mazagon Dock Limited. The Delhi class vessels are the third largest warships to be fully designed and built in India. INS Mysore has displacement of 6,200 MT (million tonne) in full. It’s 535 feet long with 57 feet beam and draft is 21 feet. Its speed is over 28 knots (53 kilometre per hour).

Archana Patel, convener Darshak Itihas Nidhi, Bharuh, said, “The select group of students will be allowed to visit INS Mysore on December 9 in groups with prior permission. It is a great opportunity for the students to see Indian Navy’s warship.”

Participants of the conference will board the ship on the concluding day that is December 10.
