Drug inspector seeks Rs 40,000 bribe, arrested

SURAT: Anti corruption sleuths arrested a drug inspector and her accomplice accepting bribe of Rs 40,000 in Vapi town of Valsad on Thursday. The accused had demanded money for letting the complainant operate a medical store in a hospital and for not creating any disturbance.Anti corruption bureau (ACB) arrested Vibhisha Patel, a drug inspector and Suman Patel the middle man, for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe. The complainant runs a medical store in a hospital and had approached the officer to let him continue operations of the store. In turn the accused demanded the bribe and had accepted it through middle Suman Patel.
