Thakur questions purchase of cow dung by Cong govt
Shimla: Former chief minister and leader of opposition in Himachal Pradesh assembly Jairam Thakur on Tuesday took a dig at the ruling Congress party in the state, saying no one had sold even 1 kg of cow dung in Himachal and CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was claiming that the state govt has fulfilled the guarantee of buying the same from the farmers.
“The people of the state want to know whose cow dung was bought and how the guarantee was fulfilled. In this way, the chief minister, who runs the govt by lying, blames the EVM for the worst defeat of the Congress across the country,” said Thakur.
The BJP leader further said the Congress that came to power in the name of giving jobs was rather taking away the jobs by eliminating posts and snatching employment opportunities from the youth.
The chief minister is roaming around the state and saying that they have fulfilled the guarantee with a Rs 680-crore startup scheme. After hearing his (Sukhu) statements, the youth of the state are asking who the beneficiaries of the scheme are and what has been done with that money, said Thakur.
