Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh govt has released additional grant of Rs 5.91 crore to eight sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) of Jubbal, Rohru, Rampur, Theog, Shimla Rural, Kumarsain and Kotkhai in Shimla district for further disbursement to 1,015 left out disaster affected people.
DC Anupam Kashyap said that during the natural disaster last year, a special relief package was released to the affected people by the state govt. However, some affected people were left out and thus additional grant has been released for them. The affected people can get information from their respective SDM or tehsil office. With this additional grant, financial assistance will be provided to 1,015 left out affected people in Shimla district. These include 28 affected people with completely damaged houses, 427 with partially damaged houses, 320 affected people with 240 damaged cowsheds, crops, land, and shops. The DC that as many as 2,235 affected people have already been provided assistance in Shimla district under the special relief package issued by the state govt. TNN
