NCC deputy director general holds interactive session with cadets
SALEM: Five (5) Tamil Nadu Air Squadron Technical NCC - Salem along with 12 Battalion and 11 signal company of Salem organised an informative and interactive session with deputy director general (DDG) of NCC Directorate of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Commodore Atul Kumar Rastogi and the NCC cadets in the city on Saturday evening. The DDG gave a talk on “Tips for Success”. More than 1,000 cadets of Army and Air Wing NCC attended. The DDG while addressing the gathering invited the prospective cadets' commitment to join the armed forces. During the interactive session, the cadets expressed their keenness on joining the armed forces. The talk significantly boosted the cadets' comprehension of discipline, leadership, and personal development. While speaking to the reporters, Rastogi said the interactive workshop gave the cadets a great opportunity to connect, grow, and learn. "This also gave them a new perspective and idea on success, discipline, and leadership which are the essential qualities for shaping the future leaders," he said.Sona College of Technology vice-chairman Thyagu Valliappa presided over the event while the principal SRR Senthil Kumar felicitated the chief guest. The commodore also handed over appreciation certificates to the best performers amongst the cadets, permanent instructors, associate NCC officers and state NCC staff. Group Commander of Coimbatore Col Shiva Rao, commanding officer of air squadron V Muruganandham and several others participated in the event.
