Woman's Charred Body Found Near Giridih Railway Tracks: Police Investigate Suspected Murder
Bokaro: A partially charred body of a woman was found near Bangali Pul in Giridih district on Friday. The body was recovered from a secluded stretch close to the railway tracks in the remote Beko West Panchayat. According to police, the woman’s identity and age are yet to be ascertained. Preliminary investigation suggests that the woman was killed after being set on fire at the same spot where her body was found. Ashes scattered around the body indicate that the burning took place at the site itself. Local residents spotted the body and informed the police. Officer-in-charge of Bagodar police station, Vinay Kumar Yadav said, “Prima facie, it seems she was murdered by setting on fire. We are investigating the case from all angles.” Mukhiya of Chaudharibandh panchayat, Sanjay Yadav said that there were no reports of any woman or young girl missing from nearby areas so far. Police said the location is isolated, raising the possibility that the criminals chose the spot to carry out the crime and flee without being noticed. The body was sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway.
