Daltonganj: Two accomplices of a trio who shot at and injured two wine shop staff for demanding Rs 10 extra per liquor bottle at Chainpur on Friday night were arrested and sent to jail on Saturday, police said.
The shooters were identified as Anand Soni,
Kanchan Soni and Monu. They shot at brothers Ranjit Arya and Raju Arya, who were relatives of shop owner Binay Arya.
While the two accomplices, Binay Agarwal and
Hasan Ali, were arrested and sent to jail, a hunt is on to nab Anand, Kanchan and Monu, police said.
The officer in-charge of Chainur police station, Uday Kumar Gupta, said, “Anand Soni and Kanchan Soni were with the trio when they fired at the shop and injured the two brothers.”
He added, “The five accused, including the accomplices and the shooters, were buying wine from the shop of Binay Arya on Friday when the staff demanded Rs 10 more than the printed price per bottle. Binay’s relatives, Ranjit and Raju, intervened but the trio fired three rounds in a fit of rage. ” TNN
