Two Class X board examinees killed in road accident in Gumla

Gumla: Two board examinees, who were returning to their homes after writing their JAC X board exams in Bishunpur, were killed when their speeding bike lost control and rammed a divider on the Netarhat-Ranchi state highway under Bishunpur police station limits. Two others were hospitalised after sustaining critical injuries in the incident.The deceased were identified as Amit Barwa (17) and Navneet Oraon (17), both residents of Ankuri Dandtoli and Ankuri Harratoli villages under Gurdari police station limits. The injured were identified as Roshan Toppo (17) of Badki-Samdari village and Ashim Ekka (17) of Harratol villages, also under the same police station limits. The incident took place near Karamtoli village around 2 pm.

"The students were travelling on a single motorcycle. The bike was being driven by Amit Barwa," Mukesh Kumar Tudu, officer-in-charge of Bishunpur police station, said. “Two of them were killed on the spot. The injured were admitted to Gumla sadar hospital. The incident due to rash driving,” Tudu said.
