Ramgarh: A 55-year-old man killed his 17-year-old son on Friday with a sharp weapon during a violent clash between them over losses in online trading. The father also sustained multiple injuries and was referred to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi. Subdivisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Ramgarh Parmeshwar Prasad said that the deceased was identified as Somyank Jaiswal (17). “He was killed by his father, Sushil Jaiswal (55), in Bargaon during a violent clash," he said.The incident occurred in Bargaon village under the West Bokaro police station limits in Ramgarh district, nearly 30 km away from the Ramgarh district headquarters. West Bokaro outpost police station in-charge, Deepak Kumar Singh, said that Somyank incurred losses to the tune of Rs 30 lakh in an online business which he started some time ago. “The father paid his losses by selling his heavy vehicle which triggered severe differences between them,” Singh said.The duo had an argument on Friday morning. The situation quickly escalated, and they ended up fighting with household items which turned fatal, the police said.
